A work in progress

Click below to follow the progress of my latest figure. We'll call it ' careful ' for now but as we near completion the name could very well change.

This carving will depict two inept ambulance men transporting an unfortunate patient down a flight of stairs. The angle of dangle is not quite correct leading to a disaster.

I had to build a set of stairs for this carving. I don't usually have props ( except golf clubs, walking sticks etc )but in this case it was necessary. I found the process interesting and lots of fun. I now have a wish list of miniture power tools.

I have included some views of the stairs at the beginning of your journey.

My first figure is Lucky Larry , the patient. I modelled him out of plasticine/clay (slides 10-13) to give me an idea of sizes and posture etc. etc. Sometimes I get my dear wife to take photographs of me in ridiculous positions to help me get an idea of things but in this case I could not levitate long enough to snap the photo.

The tune you are listening to was wtitten to celebrate the life and times of an Edinburgh music teacher
named
Colin L. O'Riordan and is aptly titled Colin L. O'riordan. This glorious tune is played by the Scottish
Fiddle Orchestra.
Don't know if the music goes with the visuals. Don't care , I love this tune.
